Initiating a Return
How to Request a Return:
- If You Have an Account: Log in and navigate to “Orders & Returns.” Select the order you wish to return and click on “Return Item(s).”
- Guest Checkout Orders: If you purchased as a guest, please contact us at [contact email] with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and your tracking details. We will assist you through the return process.
Return Conditions:
- You must request a return within the timeframe permitted by our policy. Unless otherwise stated, returns should be requested within 14 days of delivery for EU/UK customers, in line with applicable regulations, and in accordance with any shorter or stricter policies applicable to your specific order.
- Items must be returned unused, undamaged, and in their original condition.
- Wherever possible, please return items in their original packaging to help ensure they arrive in good condition.
If You Do Not Have the Original Box:
If you cannot use the original packaging, choose a suitable box or packaging to ensure that the product is protected and will not be damaged in transit. Please include all relevant documentation that accompanied your item, as well as a brief note explaining the reason for return.
Custom and Personalized Items
No Returns on Custom Products:
We do not accept returns or issue refunds for custom-made or personalized items. These pieces are created specifically to your specifications, and therefore cannot be restocked or resold. Please review your custom order details carefully before completing your purchase.
International and EU/UK Returns
EU/UK Buyers:
In accordance with the 2011 EU Directive, customers residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland have the right to return an eligible item within 14 days of delivery, regardless of the seller’s or BAZAR MONDIALE’s general policy, provided the item meets eligibility requirements.
International Returns:
If you are returning an item from outside your country of residence, please note that there may be additional customs duties, taxes, or fees applied to the return shipment. These costs are your responsibility and will be deducted from your refund. For returns that require specialized carriers (such as freight or white glove services), BAZAR MONDIALE will provide you with a shipping quote upon request. If you approve the quote within the required timeframe (generally 14 days), we will proceed with the return process.
Items Arriving Damaged or Not as Described
Reporting Damaged Items:
If your order arrives damaged or not as described, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery at [contact email]. Include clear photographs showing the damage to the product and any packaging issues. Once reported, we will investigate the issue to determine how the damage occurred. If the claim is accepted, we will work with you to find a suitable resolution, which may include a refund or a replacement, depending on availability and the circumstances.
Claims Beyond 24 Hours:
If you do not report damage within 24 hours of delivery, BAZAR MONDIALE may not be held responsible for damage that could have occurred during or after delivery.
Packaging and Shipping Requirements for Returns
Preparing the Return Shipment:
- Include the original invoice or dispatch documentation inside the package.
- Seal the item securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Attach the return label (if provided) clearly on the outside of the package.
For items that require professional crating or white glove return services, you must approve the return shipping quote within 14 days from when it was provided, or the return will be considered void.
Refund Processing
Refund Timeline:
Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, refunds are generally processed to the original payment method within 10 business days. The exact timing may depend on your bank, credit card issuer, or payment provider. If the original payment method cannot be used (e.g., if you paid by a reference number), we may issue the refund by bank transfer or another mutually agreed secure payment method.
Return Costs
Customer Responsibility for Return Shipping Costs:
Unless the return is due to an error on our part or an item arriving damaged, the cost of return shipping and the choice of carrier are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping method to ensure safe and verifiable delivery of the return.
