The Eichholtz Barrier Left Armchair is the left-arm version of the Barrier design, a contemporary lounge chair whose sleek backrest sweeps down into a single armrest on the left side. Dressed in luxurious Lyssa fabric and offered in sand or off-white with contrasting piping, it mirrors the Barrier Right Armchair, and the two together form an elegant, sculptural seating set.
Frequently asked questions about the Barrier Left Armchair
The Barrier Left Armchair is upholstered in Lyssa fabric over a solid, generously padded frame, with the armrest on the left-hand side as you face the chair. It measures 77 × 100 × 82 cm (W × D × H), with a seat height of 39 cm and an armrest height of 56 cm, and weighs 32 kg. It comes in two colorways: sand, and off-white with contrasting piping.
Sculptural one-arm design with the backrest sweeping into the left armrest.
Luxurious Lyssa upholstery in sand or off-white with contrast piping.
Mirrors the Barrier Right Armchair to form a matched set.
Eichholtz — Dutch luxury design since 1992.
Let the Barrier Left anchor the left side of a seating group: place it opposite or beside the Barrier Right so their mirrored lines wrap around a coffee table, or use it solo where its open right side keeps a walkway or view unobstructed. Both colorways flatter warm minimalist palettes of travertine, oak and linen, while the off-white version with piping brings a couture touch to crisper schemes.
The Barrier Left combines a gallery-worthy silhouette with sink-in comfort: the continuous backrest supports you from shoulder to elbow, and the 32 kg build feels reassuringly solid. It is a natural choice for homeowners and designers styling living rooms, hotel lobbies and lounges, and it truly comes into its own paired with the Barrier Right as a set.
